Keep reading to find out some of the key features of the new 2022 Toyota Camry so you'll see exactly why it's the car for you!
A Smooth Ride
The Toyota Camry is a bit longer than normal sedans; this vehicle is 16.1 feet long but maintains an average sedan weight. On the inside, you can seat up to 5 people comfortably, thanks to the generous amount of legroom and headroom. In the back, you'll enjoy 15.1 cubic feet of cargo space, which is plenty. This vehicle comes standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine capable of 204 HP and 8-speed automatic transmission. It handles very well on winding roads, so you can count on it to provide you with safe and comfortable trips.
You'll get great gas mileage as well. With the standard engine and front-wheel drive, you'll get 28 MPG in the city and 39 MPG on the highway. This slightly drops with all-wheel drive to 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. With an upgraded powertrain to a V6 engine, you'll get 22 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway, which still is decent.
Choose From 5 Trims
The new 2021 Toyota Camry comes in 5 different trims: LE, SE, XLE, XSE, and TRD. What's great is because Toyota is a top automotive brand, they've made sure to pack every trim with features, including the base LE one! So read on to see what you can expect to get with each tier.
As we've just said, even the standard LE trim comes with plenty of standard features, which makes it well worth your money. You'll get dual-zone automatic climate control for maximum comfort. The LE trim's infotainment system has a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB ports, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 6-speaker stereo. It's also compatible with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
Toyota's huge on safety features, so this trim isn't lacking in this area either. They include many features found in Toyota's Safety Sense 2.5+ suite, which includes a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, pedestrian detection, lane trace assist, and traffic sign recognition. In case you want more, some upgrades include all-wheel drive, as well the Cold Weather, Moonroof with Options, and Audio Upgrade with Options packages.
Next is the SE trim, which puts you in luxurious synthetic leather upholstery. Not only that, but this option also has front and rear fascia that are unique to the SE trim. This will make you stand out on the road. Some upgrades for this model include the Nightshade edition and a heated steering wheel.
The XLE trim further pushes you into the lap of luxury by seating you and your passengers in real leather upholstery and heated front seats. Other additional standard features include wireless device charging, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and a 9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. The upgrade options available to you here include HD radio, navigation, surround-view parking camera system, ventilated front seats, 9-speaker JBL audio system, and a head-up display. Also, starting with the XLE trim, you'll be able to opt for the more powerful V6 engine.
The XSE trim is pretty much the same as the XLE one, but with a few notable differences. For instance, it comes with a sport-tuned suspension and has unique front and rear fascia like with the SE trim. As for upgrades, the same ones are available here as well.
This is the only trim to come standard with the V6 engine, so for road warriors, you'll want to consider this trim, as it comes with other beastly standard features as well. For instance, the TRD trim comes standard with a track-tuned suspension, larger brakes, a rear spoiler, aluminum sport pedals, and a fixed rear seat. In addition, you'll benefit from unique styling elements. Do note that instead of real leather, this trim gets synthetic leather upholstery.
